X-Ray analyses pages locally. This page describes exactly what leaves your browser — and what never does.
The free version
X-Ray Design Inspector collects, stores and transmits no personal data. The extension analyses the page you are on entirely inside your browser. Results leave your machine only when you save them as a file yourself. The 2-day trial requires no connection: it runs on the installation date stored locally.
Pro
If you enter a licence key, X-Ray asks for permission to reach api.polar.sh first. Transmitted to our payment and licensing provider, Polar Software Inc., are: the licence key, a randomly generated device id (not a browser fingerprint) and, technically unavoidably, your IP address. This check happens when you activate and afterwards at most once every 24 hours.
Not transmitted: the addresses of pages you visit, page content, analyses, measurements or any other usage data. Purchase and invoicing are handled by Polar as merchant of record, under their own privacy terms.
Web fonts
When you try out a web font in the extension, the font file is fetched from Google Fonts; Google’s terms apply to that request.
No tracking
There is no usage tracking and no advertising — neither in the extension nor on this website.
